 Online and Telephone Therapy

How does art psychotherapy work online? Well its an interesting combination and there are advantages.

As with any online therapy for those unable to travel it can be a lifeline to access support and still connect with your therapist face to face. There is no travel time and so may be easier to fit into your daily schedule. And providing you have privacy you can access your session wherever you are. Online platforms allow the sharing of images so that we can work together, alongside each other and I can view images and items you have made that you wish to share with me. There are whiteboards that can be used to create images too, either solely or together.

If you would like to receive a box of art materials I can post a box to you that will fit through your letter box.

I will give advise where needed in the setting up of platforms so you can access appointments online easily with just a click of a link.

As the journey to and from therapy is often very valuable preparation and process time  I suggest to my clients that they take some time before and after sessions to virtually ‘travel’ here and back. This might mean sitting quietly without disturbance for a little time prior to a session and afterwards maybe the same again or a short walk. A brief change of scene will help with the processing of your session

Telephone support is another option which might be your regular choice of therapy approach or as combined with online or face to face support.
